More STEAM Fun To Inspire
March 1 - March 20

IMAGINE THE BEST EARTH - (Print submission form here or look for a copy that will come home with your child on March 1.)
What is something you can do to help make the earth a better place to live? All ideas that help us protect the air, water or land are worth sharing. Drop your submission in the office to be featured on the Science Fair Bulletin Board starting March 1. Last day to submit is March 20.

Ms. Rocco will hit the lunch room to inspire and motivate the kids while teaching them a few facts about physics. Remember to ask your child to share this lunchtime fun!

Linear Motion, centripetal force, Newton’s three laws of motion and more will excite and delight the students during an interactive 45-minute presentation from Mobile Ed Productions.

The Read-A-Thon is Back: Volunteers Needed!

Calling all South School students to READ, READ, READ and RAISE MONEY for South School! READ A THON starts on Monday, March 4 and runs through Sunday, March 17, to align with the birthday of one of our favorite authors, Dr. Seuss. We will culminate the week with an author visit from Tish Rabe, who continues the legacy of Dr. Seuss's works. READ A THON is a fun event where students read every night for two weeks, and help raise money for South School to fund field trips and other PTC programs.

To help prepare, we are in need of 2 volunteers PER GRADE to help assist the Read-a-Thon Committee with counting each grades' minutes read and tallying funds raised.

Volunteers will help:
-Stuff Read-a-Thon packets for their grade the week of February 25
-Distribute packets to their grade on March 1
-Distribute participation prizes to teachers in their grade at the mid-way point (March 11)
-Count the minutes read and tally the money raised at the end of Read-a-Thon for their grade (between March 19-March 22)

Please contact RAT chairs Elizabeth Bliss or Jennifer Hart to volunteer!
